on how to cut your carbon.
Save 4 tonnes of CO2: Solving the climate crisis means significantly reducing the amount of CO2
we produce - the main greenhouse gas responsible for climate change. This leaflet shows you how to save four tonnes of
CO2. None of them are easy, but they are all do-able. If you can pledge to save four tonnes then we would love for
you to let us know by filling in the form below.
Get More Involved: Join a local action group on climate change and get more involved. There are lots of groups in Cumbria,
and if there isn't one in your town or village contact your nearest group and ask for advice on how to start one or fill in
the form below. Click on the link for details of local community groups in Cumbria. They are always in need of more helpers
or keen for more support and ideas so get in touch! They can also help you with more ideas and support on living a
low carbon lifestyle.
Join the 10:10 Campaign: The 10:10 campaign aims to get as many people, organisations and businesses signed up to reduce
their carbon footprint by 10% by the end of 2010. Sign up and join tens of thousands of people across the UK in calling
for strong and urgent action on climate change.
Join a National Group: by joining a national group such as
Greenpeace or
Friends of the Earth you are helping in the bid
to put opressure on the UK Government to reduce carbon emissions at home. Click on the link for national groups to join.
